Growing Up With Coke

First Coke Bottle

This is the first Coca-Cola bottle I remember very well when I was little. The bottle has changed in size and color label through the years, but not the famous contour bottle which was designed by Earl R. Dean in 1915. This means that Coke is older than me, lol! When I was about 7 years old, my aunts would asked me to buy a bottle of Coke in the neighborhood’s little store. It cost only 75¢ then.  But the bottles above cost much when hubby and me bought them about 4 years ago or more.   It was for some kind of a special event for Coke or something.   We thought it would be a good token for the old Coca-Cola bottle.  And my little Ted’s been watching peacefully over them.

I think so. I like the same foods my dad does and my kids like the same stuff I do. Odd.

There must be some explanation to that, Shanker. The connection between pregnancy and what the child do later is a mystery to me.

  4. That’s the same kind of bottle we had in my younger days too. It would cost 35 cents and if we returned the empty bottle to the store we would back 5 cents. Those were the days :D

That’s cheap! I remember we had to pay extra as deposit and get it back when we return the bottle. That’s why we could never keep any bottle, hehee.

I don’t remember how much does coke costs during my time, pero definitely kapanahunan ko rin yung ganyang bottle, hehe. Ang dami na ngang klase ng coke sa tinagal tagal ng panahon, meron ng light may zero pa, kelan kaya magkaroon ng negative. As in kapag ininom mo, mababawasan ka ng calorie, hehe.

Oo nga, Amor. Hehee, parang malabo yata yang iniisip mo, friend. Ako naman hanap ko, kapag ininom, madagdagan weight ko, hahaa! But I don’t like the lasa of coke vanilla.
