Earth Day Tagging Starts

Got tagged about Earth Day and I thought it was yesterday as I noticed the colorful themed logo of Google. But when I clicked and read, it came out that yesterday marked the first day of spring. While this may be true to other places, but not here and you know what I mean. The first time I’ll experience a white Easter, !

I wish to thank Rozella for tagging me this. I’ve searched a while ago when the real Earth Day is and found out in the Wikipedia that UN celebrates Earth Day on the March equinox (the Sun is positioned directly over the Earth’s equator) which occurs around March 20, thus, this tag I guess. But the global observance in most countries is on April 22 each year.

The rule is to tag five people and post these images linking to the Rainforest and Answer4Earth sites. If you like trivia, you may like the answer4earth questions. I’ve tried it and it’s pretty cool.

Speaking of Earth Day, I’ve incidentally watched Al Gore’s The Inconvenient Truth. It’s like a “horror film” on climate crisis showing the reality of what is happening to the global environment and it’s shocking.

I want to pass this on to Catherine, Myrtle, Jerico, Eds and Malyn.  It’s your chance to show you care about the earth we live in.  You have until April 22 to do this assignment :-D

Thanks Marlene for doing the tag! :) I know what you mean. Al Gore’s film is just so scary. It just makes you worry about the future of our planet. Have you watched Planet Earth yet? It’s a National Geographic series and it’s out on DVD too. Some of the things in Al Gore’s film – like the animated polar bear not being able to find any surface and ends up dying – they got the real footage! It’s so sad and just scary. You should watch it. It’s crazy.

Rozella, I haven’t watched Planet Earth, yet. But I will try to grab the DVD. Yes, just watching Al Gore’s film gave me goose bumps. Really horrible.
