Canal Lock Movement

Gota Canal

One of the Locks of the Göta Canal that stretched from the west coast of Sweden routing through the large lakes, Vännern and Vättern.  The Lock above was filling up waters in order for the boats to descend to a lower level before it finally goes out to the lake.

Farah, I was also amazed the first time I saw this. It’s actually a stair of waters. I will try to post a better picture than this some time. The boy wasn’t afraid at all to stand by the lock. :-)
