The Gothenburg Cathedral

Inside Domkyrkan

I have seen many people, probably tourists, who were taking pictures of this Cathedral. For me, it’s not an eye-catching structure, but just an ordinary church. Then one day I just took myself pictures of the Cathedral, too. It’s because the history that embraces this Cathedral that interests me to do so. It was first built in the late 1600′s but two incidents of fire destroyed the first and the second replicas respectively. So it’s the third reconstruction that’s been standing strong since 1825. Amen to this!

Travel In A Yacht

Skat
Simonyi’s Skat

Ahuh, who doesn’t want cruising? Of course the seasick, but for those who naturally loves the sea can think of a cruise over the Atlantic or somewhere else. While there are cruiser lines that offer the pleasure of traversing the sea from one place to another, there are those who enjoy travelling the sea in their own yacht. And who owns this mega-yacht that’s been laying up in a dock here? Just a billionaire named Charles Simonyi. If the name rings a bell, then you got it how wealthy he is. If not then you must be familiar with with Word and Excel that he developed while he worked at Microsoft. The rest is history. Now he’s in town for the big event of his life which I will disclose later, or you may just guess.

The Mega Yacht

The truth is that Simonyi is marrying a girl who happens to be a daughter of a Swedish millionaire. The wedding ceremony will take place on Saturday. Guess who the bestman is – just Bill Gates!

Astrid And Her Pippi

Astrid Lindgren's World
Astrid Lindgren’s World

If you’re familiar with the name Astrid Lindgren then you’ve probably read some of her children’s books that’s been translated to different languages. She was loved not only for being a good writer/author but also for her passion for children. According to her, “one doesn’t need to have a child to write books for children, it’s enough that one was once a child”.

The Astrid Lindgren’s World is the children’s favorite to visit especially in the summer. Children could experience how the stories and settings come to life. It’s actually like a paradise for children whey they feel that they’re being part of Astrid’s stories. Even adults who have read her stories could bring back those memories in a storybook.
