Seagulls Not In Flight

Seagulls not in flight!

I tried to capture a bird flying up the sky once but it flew so fast. And when I checked the picture, all I saw was the sky without the bird. But when I saw this flock of seagull, I took the chance to capture a photo of them at a distance. Darn, only one flew in while the rest seemed to enjoy the warmth breeze of the sea. I caught that one in a low flight, anyway.

Breaking My Weekend Routine

Must be some kind of a bug that crept in my mind when I woke up yesterday and made me feel like breaking my weekend routine. I normally have some fixed things to do on Saturdays and Sundays like the cleaning, organizing things, and mostly house chores. I usually do most of the Mary Poppin’s job on Saturdays, except when my friends and me are meeting which we do every last Saturday of the month. Sunday is definitely my rest day and to prepare for the week ahead.

But this weekend seemed the beginning of a changed routine cos I was in a mood to go out and have driving lessons with hubby. The rain didn’t bother me when all the time I thought it was scary to drive in the rain. The much needed driving license motivated me to try to drive in whatever circumstances may be. I should have been creeping in bed under my quilt blanket when rains come in the weekend, as part of my weekend routine, hahaa.

I can’t imagine managing my day without routine, but sometimes it’s so darn boring to do the same things over and over. I feel like a robot with the tasks being programmed physically and mentally. I wasn’t feeling bored, but the need to change the routine was irresistible. I thought it wouldn’t do any harm if I skip doing the same things again and again; besides, I am my own master.

On the other hand, there’s one routine I wouldn’t want to change and that’s my computer routine, lol! But doing something different this weekend caused my computer habit to suffer a little. I’d always sit long hours by my computer in the weekend, mostly after watching films. But hubby chose the Apocalypse Redux that we ended up sitting on the sofa till past midnight. Now, I’m catching up on finishing this post. Hmmp!

Looks Like The Fortune Plant

When hubby and I were shopping a month ago, I saw this familiar plant for sale in a corner among other plants. I remember I used to have this kind when I was in Davao. I got fascinated by plant cultivation when I was in high school but sad to say, there would always be an instance that I had to leave them and let die. It happened several times that I decided not to engaged myself in cultivating plants anymore. But a home is not quite cosy without indoor plants, not importantly flowering. It’s kind of having a wonderful atmosphere when I see those lively, green plants in a corner or by the window pane. I only have 4-5 pots of plants and one of them is this so called fortune plant, if I am not mistaken.

Fortune Plant
Is this a fortune plant?

This costs me 36sek while I only used to pick a stalk of this in a neighborhood’s garden in Davao. I bought this not because it resembles the type of a fortune plant, but because it’s easy to take care of. This is not the kind of plants that wilts soon when I forget to water for a couple of weeks. And really, why are there plants called the fortune plant? I should ask Robert Fortune, the Scottish botanist, for this matter.
