Free View of My Desktop

I have been tagged by Amor for the second time.  Here’s the instruction for this tagging game.

A.  Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted   before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun.

B.  Post the picture in your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop just below it if you want. You can explain why you preferred such look or why is it full of Icons, things like that.

This is the background color I always like for my desktop. Since I have a bad eyesight, I prefer this color to easily find the icons I need. I have the shortcut icons for most of the programs I am using. As you can see, the picture is kind of old or too early for a Christmas background. That was our 2006 Christmas photo actually. Never thought of changing it yet. That picture serves as my marker that when the icons get into it, means that I need to clean-up my desktop.

C.  Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktop as well.

Now I’m tagging:
Maryam  |  Eds  |  Sarah  |  Jerlyn  |  Ron

D.  Add your name to this list of Free Viewers with a link pointing directly to your Desktop Free View post to promote it to succeeding participants.

iRonnie | Thess | Rebecca | Knoizki | Beng | Marie | Ems | Mindy | Amor | Marlene

Getting into WordPress

It wasn’t long ago when I happened to find a blog that was powered by WordPress. As I have been looking  for a blog software to use in this site, I used to check the footer of a particular blog I browsed. When I noticed that most of the blogs I browsed were powered by WordPress, I got curious and tried to click the link. After reading what it was all about and how to use it, I decided to give it a shot.

After trying wordpress on my subdomain mysblog.lemback.com, I thought of using it on Lemback Home, too, for I find it easier to update.  The things I learned about HTML and CSS (which I used in building this site before) will not actually be wasted.  In fact, this wordpress would help me improve my skills in HTML and CSS. And not only that, it would help me learn about PHP, as it is built with this web scripting language.

And voila! My plan of shifting to wordpress has been successful. But there’s one thing I could not do for the time being – creating my own theme! I guess I need to learn more about PHP before I can create my own theme.  For now, I am using a theme called modern-blue-green which I found in the wordpress themes site.  I like the structure of this theme, but I don’t like the colour scheme so I tried to modify it a little bit. I am gratified at the outcome of the modification, though, hope it’s legal. I have also imported the contents of mysblog to this site, so now, I have my photoblog and my personal site in one place. Great!
